Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Managing and maintaining customer accounts, including setting up new accounts and performing credit checks.
  • Negotiating payment terms and resolving disputes efficiently to minimise overdue debt.
  • Preparing reports on aged debt and advising management on risk and debtor performance.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing and account management.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the credit control team

Profile

The successful Senior Credit Controller requires:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of credit control processes, legal requirements, and financial systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
