Description
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Managing and maintaining customer accounts, including setting up new accounts and performing credit checks.
- Negotiating payment terms and resolving disputes efficiently to minimise overdue debt.
- Preparing reports on aged debt and advising management on risk and debtor performance.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing and account management.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the credit control team
Profile
The successful Senior Credit Controller requires:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within a high-volume environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of credit control processes, legal requirements, and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
