About the Role:L&Q are looking for a dedicated and proactive Community Centre Assistant to provide exceptional customer support to users of our community centres in Trafford. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating positive environments, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and supporting a team to deliver excellent service to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer support to all users at the community centre.
  • Set up centres in advance of bookings, ensuring that all areas are clean, well-presented, and ready for use.
  • Oversee the end of each booking, ensuring that hirers clear away and leave the space in a suitable condition for the next user.
  • Maintain schedules and records for building maintenance, reporting issues to the appropriate L&Q team.
  • Carry out regular health and safety checks and keep accurate records.
  • Take responsibility for opening and closing the centre, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Conduct inspections in line with procedures and ensure any maintenance or safety issues are addressed promptly.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong customer service skills, with a passion for helping others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in caretaking or a similar role is desirable.
  • A flexible and dynamic approach to work, with the ability to adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise your workload, and work independently.
  • A strong team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
