Job description:

We are recruiting for a Head of Record to Report to join our shared serviced based in Manchester city centre (the role will require travel two days a week to the office).  For this role, we're keen to bring in someone who is passionate about process improvement and problem-solving as we well as being agile and able to think on their feet.

This role would really suit somebody who enjoys people management and development, as well as being able to step back and see the big picture while being willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in when required. ?You are looking for a role where you can make a real impact and drive change within the organisation.

Working with a team of dedicated individuals, you'll be leading the Manchester-based Record to Report team (‘RTR’), which is part of Premier Business Services (‘PBS’), championing strong processes and controls with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency. Your role is instrumental in driving the RTR agenda forward and ensuring the team has the right structure and capability as plans to accelerate growth gain momentum. ?Being visible to senior management is crucial in this hybrid role, where your actions directly impact business risk, profitability, and internal stakeholders.

The Key Requirements... 

Essential

  • Significant post-qualified experience, CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualification relevant to area of work 
  • Broad Finance (AP, AR, Fixed Assets & Capex, Financial Control, Reporting) 
  • Either substantial experience in a specific technical area or broad experience across a number of different areas of the business 
  • SAP (preferable) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience of working within large project teams and driving change 
  • Previous Shared Service Centre experience leading a large team 

Desirable

  • FMCG Industry experience (selling to major UK multiple retailers) 
  • Finance transformation experience 
  • Experience in a controls focussed environment
