Data Engineer

Full Time Permanent

Location Central Manchester Hybrid working (3 PW in office 2 days WFH)

Salary negotiable to £65,000 plus bonus and great benefits

Our client is a Legal-Tech brand ranked Tier 1 in The Legal 500 UK Guide 2024. They have offices across the UK are continuing to grow further.

Their business is heavily automated and so customer journeys are digital journeys rather than direct 121 contact with each claimant.

From a data perspective, cases can have 10,000s clients or claimants, all with hundreds of individual data points. They have multiple active cases running all the time and my client wants to make better use of tech and data to increase capacity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Azure Data Factory, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and integrate diverse data sources into a unified data lake or warehouse.
  • Perform data cleansing and enrichment to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Implement automation scripts and workflows.

The perfect candidate will have some team lead experience or someone who can demonstrate the potential to lead and is open to training and coaching to develop into a leader.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in data engineering (or similar role)
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and transformation
  • Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory and other related tools.
  • Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles
  • Must be commutable to Manchester and have permanent rights to work in the UK
