Data Operations Manager (DBA Manager) - Central Manchester - Salary £90,000 + BonusThe Company:Lorien Global are working in partnership with an organisation based in Central Manchester whom are embarking on a transformation of how the business uses Data. As this team is growing significantly we're looking for a leader to help lead the team through this exciting time.The Role:Your responsibility spans the management of the Operational Database and DBA Team, a team that is critical to success of the business, including implementation of best database administration and database operations. Working closely with the architects this is a genuine opportunity to implement innovative solutions within a critical business transformation project.The Skill Requirements:Candidates must have a blend of the following:

  • Solid understanding of critical transactional database operations, preferably within a live revenue generating platform
  • Previous hands-on experience with Production databases (MySQL, MariaDB or Oracle)
  • Excellent understanding of DBA concepts: Clustering, Performance Tuning, Security, Scaling etc.
  • Proven background improving the productivity in a high-performing Data Team
  • Wider technical knowledge with Linux systems, AWS cloud platforms and NoSQL Databases would also be helpful
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external teams
