Manchester Staff is on the lookout for a professional Database Administrator. Our client is the leader in their very exciting and unique field of expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing company data, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information across various systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain price lists for Business Management System, including brand, range, size, colour, and pricing.
- Add new products to the system, ensuring data is entered accurately.
- Monitor supplier price changes and adjust accordingly.
- Identify and remove discontinued products from the system.
- Add new items to the database and maintain accurate product codes and images.
- Assist with ad hoc data entry tasks for various departments as needed.
- As this role grows, you will be expected to contribute to data entry tasks across different teams, enhancing the company’s data management systems.
- Bring new ideas for improving systems, including stock management.
- Create and pull reports using advanced Excel functions, including V-lookups.
- While analysis isn’t required, you’ll be responsible for generating accurate and timely reports.
- Spot emerging data trends as a potential area for development once settled into the role.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience in generating reports
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-driven with the ability to manage workload efficiently
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Previous experience in a similar role (this position involves repetitive tasks)
- Ability to meet deadlines, particularly during key periods such as January for price list updates and September for product launches
- Experience working in a collaborative environment, with potential future expansion into data entry for multiple departments
