  • You will oversee the development of data products, ensuring scalable, high-performance, and cost-efficient data processing and analytics solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategic leadership in the development of Azure data platforms, data integration, and data migration projects. You will be the standard for Data Engineering best practices within the organisation, leading, developing your colleagues skills and efficiencies and growing the data team considerably while nurturing and mentoring.
  • Play a major role in evaluating new and emerging technologies, helping to shape the organisation's approach to data engineering. Helping them to get the most out of their data, with a long-term view considering emerging data trends for a sustainable and scalable data growth project.
  • Lead a team of Senior Data Engineers, Data Engineers, and Graduate Data Analysts, with a strong focus on skills development in data engineering and an eye for helping find the strongest candidates when expanding their vastly growing data team.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for this role, being able to communicate complex data issues with stakeholders in simple terms, mentoring your team, and communicating with other internal stakeholders.

Expertise Within:

Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse)

Power BI

SQL

Python

MS Fabric (Desirable but not essential)

Extensive ETL and data pipeline design experience

5+ years prior experience in data engineering or similar roles

Experience implementing cloud data platforms in AzureBenefits:
