My client is looking for a Database Developer to join their team before the new year.

They are a call centre outsourcing company seeking a skilled Database Developer to join their IT team in the Manchester Head Office. This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, focusing on real-time data performance.

The Database Developer will manage and maintain complex database systems, primarily PostgreSQL and Redis, with responsibilities including database replication, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting real-time data queries. You will work with databases housed on-site, in AWS, and in Kubernetes environments. Experience with MySQL is a plus.

This role requires autonomy and a strong ability to manage, optimize, and scale database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
  • Implement and manage database replication across multiple sites and instances.
  • Oversee databases hosted on-site, in AWS, and within Kubernetes environments.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support call centre operations.
  • Provide guidance on database architecture and scaling.
  • Maintain documentation for all database systems

Required Skills:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
