Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer
Location: Manchester office - 2 days a week, 3 from home. Please ensure if you apply that you can commute to Manchester, this is not a fully remote role. (If you don't live commutable to Manchester but are relocating, please let me know in your application)
Are you ready to tackle complex data challenges and build scalable solutions using the latest Big Data and cloud technologies? We're on the lookout for a Data Engineer / Platform Engineer to join an expanding data team!
What You'll Be Doing:You'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving our end-to-end data pipeline. This includes real-time data processing, ETL jobs, and AI-driven data analytics. You'll get to work with cutting-edge tools like Apache Spark and AWS services such as Elastic MapReduce, Athena, and Lambda. Your focus will be on DevOps, backend, and cloud development to help effectively scale and maintain a data platform.
About You:
- You love problem-solving and thrive on complex challenges.
- You're experienced with AWS or other cloud technologies.
- You know your way around infrastructure automation (CloudFormation or Terraform).
- You have coding skills in Scala, Java, C#, Python, or SQL.
- You're keen to learn new tech and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
