About the RoleWe are partnering with an insurance business undergoing a significant transformation of their technology and data landscape. As a Data Modeller/Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data management infrastructure to support their journey to the cloud.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who can create robust data models, build ETL pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a single, scalable data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models to meet business requirements using industry-standard techniques.
  • Build and optimise ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to transform and load data into the data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement a unified, scalable data warehouse that ensures data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain data governance and security practices in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the migration from legacy systems to modern, cloud-based solutions.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in SQL and data modelling techniques.
  • Proven expertise in ETL development, particularly with Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing principles and cloud-based data platforms such as Azure.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data security practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate are advantageous.
