Collections & Litigation Advisor

Hybrid role 2 days from home,2 days in Manchester city centre office.

Basic Salary: £32,094 per annum, plus bonus.

4 day working week ! Flexible working

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday:
  • 2x late shifts: 10am - 7pm
  • 2x early shifts: 8am - 5pm
  • Friday:
  • 9am to 4pm or 9am - 5pm
  • Occasional Saturday and month-end additional hours as per business needs.

Location: Office-based in Manchester City Centre with hybrid working (2 days per week remote) available subject to performance.

Role Overview: Our Collections Teams excel at supporting our customers through difficult times. We are seeking a skilled Collections Advisor to recover late delinquency arrears cases, ensuring we meet our strategic goals while acting in our customers' best interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a set of customer accounts that are 7 months+ in arrears
  • Delivering quality customer service
  • Building individual relationships with our customers
  • Going through income and expenditures
  • Setting up payment plans and offering tailored support where appropriate
  • Responsibly handling difficult calls and vulnerable customers

You will work exclusively with our own customers, building lasting, in-depth relationships that go beyond simple income and expenditure assessments and look further ahead than today. You will deliver high standards of customer service, taking ownership of your performance while keeping the best interests of our customers at the heart of what you do.

Requirements:

  • Collections experience in consumer credit is essential
  • Collection litigation experience is essential
  • A track record in managing customer accounts
  • Proven ability to identify the underlying cause of arrears
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience dealing with vulnerable customers
  • Team spirit and a positive attitude
