Content Creator - Manchester

About The Client:

We are recruiting for an in-house, all round Content Creator to join our client's thriving e-commerce company based in North Manchester. Their passion lies in creating premium content that reflect the quality of the products they sell. As they continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Content Creator to join their creative team. If you are someone who enjoys working on the end-to-end process of content creation, from conceptualisation through to delivery, this is the perfect role for you!

The Role:

As a Content Creator, you will play a crucial role in bringing products to life through high-quality visuals. Working closely with the content and marketing teams, you will assist in producing captivating videos and images for their website, social media channels, and advertising campaigns.

This role is initially full-time onsite in their North Manchester office - you must be willing and able to commute regularly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and storyboard content ideas to align with marketing goals.
  • Edit and retouch images to meet brand standards.
  • Support photoshoots and video production sessions as needed.
  • Assist in creating engaging video content, including product showcases, social media reels, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to maintain a consistent visual style.
  • Organize and manage digital assets in the company's media library.
  • Stay updated on current trends in video and image editing, especially in the ecommerce market.
  • Adapt content for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Ensure videos are optimized for platform-specific algorithms and audience engagement.

Skills and Experience:

  • You need to have a strong portfolio with examples of your work in order to be considered for this role. Please either include a link on your CV, or attach it to an email sent to: faye . landells @ circlerecruitment . com
  • Successful applicants will have had hands-on experience as part of an agency or in-house content creation team, ideally within the ecommerce / retail sector. If mainly freelance, successful applicants will have worked with well-known / established clients for an extended period, creating multiple deliverables showing good understanding of brand identity and consistency across content.
  • Strong experience with photography and videography, including shooting, lighting, composition, and use of a range of equipment such as DSLR / mirrorless cameras and lenses.
  • Experience with post-production editing using the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects etc). Other video editing software (e.g. Da Vinci Resolve) is beneficial but not required.
  • Very good knowledge of social media trends and platform-specific content requirements (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design principles, with experience with Illustrator, InDesign, or similar programs.
  • Ability to work take initiative and work independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Animation, 3D design, or CGI skills are not required, but would be a bonus.
