Our client, who specialises in providing sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for both residential and commercial clients, is looking for a Junior CAD Designer to join their team. Using AutoCAD, you will create solar PV layouts and technical submissions producing detailed drawings for complex systems. Working closely with the Design Manager, civil engineers and architects, you'll help develop effective design solutions for a variety of projects. Responsibilities:
- Design solar PV layouts, elevations, stringing layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD
- Generate PDFs of all drawings and schematics
- Create a PV Sol library for all solar PV projects
- Create detailed string layouts for installation and import into AutoCAD
- Develop detailed project schematics and technical submissions for clients
- Use reports for pricing and purchasing
- Communicate with clients to ensure they have all necessary information
- Use Excel to document panel and inverter placements
- Develop AutoCAD templates for team use in PV layout designs
Skills and experience required:
- 2+ years of experience using CAD software
- Minimum 1 year working in a professional environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
- Patience to complete complex projects
- 2-year degree in related field (preferred)
