MSM aerospace fabricators is a leading manufacturer that specialises in hydroforming and welded fabrications. We design, develop, and deliver a range of quality approved complex technical solutions to the aerospace sector. We work collaboratively with leading aerospace OEMs, globally, to create valuable intellectual property.
As a result of continued investment and expansion, we have an opportunity a new Materials Controller to join the logistics department on a permanent basis.
The Materials Controller is responsible for all aspects of Purchasing in accordance with QP5 including: liaising with departments to determine what is needed from external suppliers, selecting suitable suppliers from the Approved Suppliers list with the assistance of the Quality department, and monitoring the performance of suppliers through monthly reports which will be issued to management.
Further responsibilities include:
- Booking in to stock ensuring all certification is correct and allocating batch numbers
- Ensuring correct stock quantities
- Taking receipt of deliveries, verifying that all materials/parts are correct against the order/drawing/material specification
- Negotiating the best prices, deliveries, and terms from approved suppliers
- Creating and issuing request for quotes
The successful candidate will be a confident problem solver who is detail oriented to ensure that all workings are correct. Computer skills are also essential with the ability to work with varying IT systems.
Further requirements of the role include:
- 5 GCSEs A-C Including Maths
- Experience in a Stock Control or Customer Service environment
- Forklift truck driving experience

- Hours of work: 37 hours Monday to Friday, can be worked flexibly
- Holiday Entitlement: 185 hours (flexible) + statutory or public holidays which fall within your normal working pattern.
- Pay: £13.12 per hour
- With overtime £19.68 per hour
