This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the pupil's transition into school life, helping to build trust, confidence, and support their educational development.Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support for a new arrival pupil in Year 7, focusing on their emotional and academic transition.- Assist with the pupil's language development, helping them build foundational English skills in a structured, supportive manner.- Use your fluent Arabic language skills to support the pupil's communication, ensuring they feel heard and understood.- Help the pupil build confidence in their learning, creating a safe and positive learning environment.- Liaise with parents, the school, and any third-party services as required to ensure the pupil's needs are met.- Support the class teacher with lesson adaptations and provide assistance with group activities where appropriate.- Track the pupil's progress and provide feedback to ensure they are progressing in their learning and well-being.Requirements:- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).- Knowledge or experience in supporting EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND students is essential.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to working with students with additional needs.- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.- This role is based in a well-loved, well-facilitated school in Droylsden, Tameside, known for its supportive and welcoming environment.
