EYFS Teaching Assistant - Longsight, Manchester.

Educate GM’s partner school in Longsight, Manchester is looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic community school. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about helping children excel and reach their full potential.

About the EYFS Teaching Assistant role:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children of different abilities during day to day activities, ensuring all children understand the tasks and supporting the physical, social and emotional needs of the children. You will be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks such as taking children out for small group interventions, setting up daily resources, and attending school trips. This role may also include supporting children with SEND, therefore you will need to be patient, understand and having exceptional communication skills.

The role is full-time, for the full academic year and will commence from December 2024. This great opportunity will pay £90-£100 a day, depending on experience.

You will be joining a successful school within Longsight, Manchester, where children flourish. The school has supportive staff members who are passionate about high standards and working as part of a team. The school encourages staff development and there are always opportunities to grow your skills as a teaching assistant.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification or working towards one is desirable
  • Experience working with SEN children is preferred
  • Experience in a UK school preferably in Early Years or KS1
  • Experience in delivering interventions is desirable
  • Caring and enthusiastic personality
  • Patience when times get difficult
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A passion for helping children excel
  • Great behaviour management

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
