Your new companyAre you a qualified Special Support Assistant looking for work? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is hardworking, ambitious and inspiring. Hays are working with an SEN school in Tameside seeking a member of staff for a pupil who has autism and learning difficulties, ideally a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who can bring confidence, enthusiasm and motivation to the pupil, along with a smile and sense of humour.

Your new roleYou will work closely with one student in particular, but also offer your help and support to a small group of students with a range of special needs when necessary. You will play a pivotal part in these students' learning and development, encouraging confidence and independence. You will work closely with the class teacher and students' wider support circle to ensure they are receiving the best care and support possible, encouraging maximum growth and progression.

What you'll need to succeedWe are seeking people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage students. The appointed candidates will have a minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
