Psychology Gradaute Ardwick ASAP Prospero Teaching are looking for passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduates with a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs in an alternative provision in Ardwick. The students here are aged 11 16 and it is essential that you have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs or PTSD. Position Details: Location Ardwick Position Graduate Teaching Assistant Type of work General Teaching Assistant work with small groups of Children with SEMH needs position start date ASAP Duration Temporary Full time Minimum rate GBP97 per day Hours 8:30 am 4pm : Mon Fri (term time only) Responsibilities: Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential The ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor Role Requirements: Psychology (BA Hons) degree Enhanced DBS (clean and relevant) Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching Safeguarding, prevent awareness & FGM training essential Behaviour management training desirable A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships Previous experience working with young people Good knowledge of SEMH needs Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management In-house Training and Development Team Ideal for graduates looking to gain experience within an alternative educational setting If you would like to be considered for this role, please click apply Unfortunately, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
