Are you passionate about supporting children with complex educational needs?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic school in Didsbury. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will play an essential part in helping children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the classroom teacher to provide tailored support for students with SEMH and complex educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering individualised and group interventions to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Support students in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Liaise with other staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the students.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK school setting.
  • Proven experience working with children with complex educational needs, specifically SEMH.
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and support students with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is mandatory.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM.
