Reeson Education is working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in New Moston to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with diverse learning needs and contributing to a nurturing educational environment.

Teaching assistant Role Overview:As a Teaching Assistant, you will work in a mixed-ability class, supporting the teacher and collaborating with other TA to ensure all pupils thrive. With around four children in the class having special educational needs, you will play a vital role in tailoring learning experiences to help them achieve their full potential.

Teaching assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with day-to-day activities and classroom management.
  • Work closely with SEND pupils, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson preparation, classroom setup, and pupil assessments.
  • Encourage social and emotional development within the class.

What We're Looking For in the successful teaching assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting SEND pupils.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning support.

Teaching assistant Role Details:

  • Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM (Monday to Friday) with a 45-minute lunch break.
  • Pay: £12.83 - £13.83 per hour, paid weekly.
