Reeson Education is working with a specialist SEN primary school in Trafford to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support EYFS and KS1 pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, sensory processing difficulties, non-verbal communication, MLD, and PMLD. This is a full-time, long-term role in a highly inclusive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide classroom support as a teaching assistant to EYFS and KS1 pupils with varied and complex needs
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support communication, social skills, and engagement
  • Assist with sensory activities and therapeutic interventions
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively as a teaching assistant with teachers, therapists, and families to meet each child's individual needs

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Experience working with SEN pupils in any capacity (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
  • Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
