Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEMH primary school in the M32 area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
This specialist school focuses on a Teaching Assistant's ability to create a personalised learning experience for each pupil. With a curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of every child, the school ensures a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:- Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to build confidence and encourage progress.
- Assist with sensory regulation and practical, hands-on learning activities.
- Create a safe and supportive space that fosters resilience and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support plans.
- Passion for working with children with SEMH needs.
- Experience in an SEMH or SEND setting (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Commitment to a long-term Teaching Assistant role in a specialist school.
- Full-time, long-term role with the potential for a school contract.
