Job Vacancy: Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Year 4 Class in Openshaw, Manchester

We are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Openshaw, Manchester, who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children with additional needs and will play a key role in helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Year 4 pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom activities, and the preparation of teaching resources.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with additional needs, helping them engage with the curriculum.
  • Implement strategies to support the academic, social, and emotional development of children with varying needs.
  • Support the teacher in managing the classroom and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Help monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting where necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with children who have additional needs, particularly in a primary school setting.
  • A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both pupils and staff.
  • A passion for supporting children's development and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
