Position: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: M30 Salford, Greater ManchesterStart Date: ASAPHours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)Salary: £13.69 - £15.83 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)

Reeson Education is looking for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary SEN school in Salford (M30). This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils across all primary age groups with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Team Teach training is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils with SEMH needs as a teaching assistant across all primary year groups.
• Assist with classroom learning, behaviour support, and emotional regulation.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups as a teaching assistant to build confidence and engagement.
• Use Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH needs in a school or alternative setting.
• Team Teach training (Essential).
• A resilient, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with complex needs.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist SEN setting.
