  • Work 1:1 and in small groups as a teaching assistant to build confidence and engagement.
  • Use Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH needs in a school or alternative setting.
  • Team Teach training (Essential).
