Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Moston, M40. This Teaching Assistant role is available on a temp-to-perm basis, offering the opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school. The school is looking to interview candidates as soon as possible, providing the chance to discuss the most suitable placement within the school based on experience and strengths.

About the Teaching Assistant Role:
  • This Teaching Assistant role involves working across different year groups within the school, with placement determined based on experience and suitability.

  • The Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring pupils stay engaged and make progress in their learning.

  • The Teaching Assistant will assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining a structured, positive learning environment.

  • The Teaching Assistant will support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, helping to implement strategies that promote confidence, engagement, and academic progress.

  • The Teaching Assistant will work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
  • Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting.

  • Be adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting children of all abilities.

  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs (desirable but not essential).

  • Be confident in working both one-to-one and in small groups to support learning.

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
  • A clear Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Two professional references covering the last three years.

  • Experience supporting children in an educational setting.

  • A strong commitment to making a positive impact in the classroom.
