Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: M30, Salford, Greater ManchesterStart Date: 22ND April Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (one day per week until 4:00 PM)Salary: £13.69 - £15.83 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)

Reeson Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Salford (M30). This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. The school is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide one-to-one support for a 14/15-year-old pupil with ASD and anxiety. The role involves both in-school support and travel to an off-site provision where the pupil participates in animal-based learning and activities, so a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Work one-to-one as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a 14/15-year-old pupil with ASD and anxiety.
• Provide structured and consistent support to help the pupil engage with learning.
• Accompany the pupil to an off-site provision where they will take part in animal-based activities.
• Support emotional regulation, engagement, and communication strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with ASD and anxiety.
• A driving licence and access to a car (essential for travel to off-site provision).
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting SEN pupils.
• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
