Our client school, a 2-form entry primary school in Levenshulme, Manchester is currently seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team as soon as possible for the rest of the academic year. The is a full time, general teaching assistant role which will pay a daily rate of £90 per day
In this role, you will be responsible for the 1:1 support of a child in a Year 1 class. The child you will be support is currently undiagnosed but does display characteristics associated with Autism (ASD). Your main responsibilities will be to manage the behaviour of the child you are supporting whilst encouraging them with their learning.
The school are looking for someone with relevant experience of working in a UK primary school and a minimum of a level 3 teaching assistant qualification or a degree level education. A can-do attitude is vital in this role as well as a passion for working with young children. A high level of written and spoken English is also a requirement for any potential applicant.
