We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to work across Year 1, providing support to pupils with a range of SEND needs. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a nurturing environment and is eager to support children in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with various SEND needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, social struggles, emotional needs, and anxiety.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Support pupils in staying engaged with classroom activities and promote their independence.
- Adapt teaching resources to ensure all children can access the curriculum.
- Occasionally provide additional support in Reception when required.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEND pupils, is highly desirable.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
