The Role: Teaching Assistant
This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position, working Monday to Friday, with a view to start after the February half term. The role is expected to be based in Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2), but there is also potential for a Teaching Assistant to be placed in Key Stage 1 (KS1) depending on experience and school requirements.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting pupils in LKS2 (or KS1, depending on need) with their learning and development.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
- Working with small groups and providing one-to-one support where necessary.
- Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils in developing their confidence and independence.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and ensuring all children feel safe and supported.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is desirable.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and patient approach to working with children.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
