Job Title: Core Subjects Tutor (Maths, English, Science)Location: Various locations (schools, community centres, libraries, or students' homes)Hours: Flexible, part-time (Typically two-hour sessions per student)About the Role:We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Core Subjects Tutor to deliver tailored support to Looked After Children (LAC) and other students who struggle to access mainstream education. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Maths, English, and Science at Foundation or GCSE level, preferably across multiple examination boards.In this role, you'll work closely with individual students to identify learning gaps and design personalized two-hour intervention sessions aimed at closing these gaps. Your sessions will focus on helping students catch up to the appropriate curriculum level while building their confidence, academic skills, and addressing any individual barriers to learning. Many of the students may have additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), ADHD, Complex Needs, and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
