The Role:This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students as they embark on their final year of Key Stage 1, helping them to develop the essential skills and knowledge needed for their next stage of education.

As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support for students with additional learning needs.
  • Help to create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support the children during group activities, ensuring all students are included and engaged.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.

About You:We are looking for someone who has:

  • Level 1 - Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience of teaching in primary schools.
  • A team player
  • Experience in delivering interventions is desirable.
  • SEND experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Hard working
  • Patience, compassion & understanding.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for helping children excel.
  • Great behaviour management.
  • A genuine passion to support each child to reach their goals.

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 2 professional references
