Educate GM has a great opportunity for an experienced upper-key stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive partner school dedicated to fostering a love for learning in our students. You will also be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks and the role may include supporting children with SEN, so patience and compassion are necessary.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on our student's educational journey.

Role Overview:

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support Learning: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Encourage Growth: Help students develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • 1:1 & Group Interventions: Provide individual and group support to students, encouraging their independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the classroom teacher and other staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Progress: Monitor and record students' progress, providing valuable feedback.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Teaching Assistant Qualification -Level 2 or working towards Level 3
  • Experience in a UK school preferably in KS2
  • Experience in delivering interventions
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience working with SEND
  • Great behaviour management
  • Empathy, care and patience
  • Positive attitude

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
