Page Personnel are recruiting for a Commercial Assistant on behalf of one of Europe's leading service manufacturers.

The purpose of this role is to support the day to day information across a portfolio of suppliers and customers spanning multiple services in the UK and EU.

Description

Commercial Assistant duties will include:

  • Support planning with raw material management
  • Liaise with both Customers and suppliers
  • Manage customer and supplier amendment
  • Record keeping of customer and supplier service records
  • Support in the management of transport
  • Provide swift responses to general financial administrative queries.
  • Utilise knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Verification of supplier charges and invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Undertake biannual review and reconciliation of outside service charges.
  • Provide analytical assistance to the commercial consultant to aid commercial negotiations with suppliers.
  • Maintain department database consistently and accurately.
  • Support with capital investment administration as required.
  • Provide other ad hoc support as may be required by the commercial consultant.
  • Interdepartmental communication

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in a similar role
  • Be highly numerate with a good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of working within an FMCG business would be beneficial
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
