We are seeking a Maintenance/Handy Person to join our Residential Care and Nursing Home team based in Manchester M13 0AR

You will receive a pay package of £14.00 per hour and there is free parking and free meals

What you will need

  • To have experience and good knowledge of general maintenance work with basic skills in plumbing, electrical, joinery and be a general all-rounder.
  • To be able to paint, wallpaper and decorate to a high standard
  • To be proactive and reactive with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Have a clean driving license is required
  • Being legally qualified to drive a 12 seater mini bus would be advantageous (D1 License).
  • Experience of working in a care environment would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to complete routine monitoring checks throughout the Home log and record results.
  • DBS check will be required
  • Two references

The role

Undertaking on a daily basis maintenance tasks around the Home, which could be painting and decorating, plumbing, electrical, joinery and any other task required to fulfil this role within your capabilities.

Driving a car, light van or minibus; keeping the vehicles of the Home in a good clean condition, and maintaining appropriate records of maintenance to all vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time - it is 37.50 hours per week,

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

  • Monday - Friday.
