Job Title: Electrical Account Manager - M&E Services

Industry Sector: Mission Critical M&E, Data Centres, UPS, Generators, Electrical Systems, Switchgear, Plant Rooms, Cooling for Comms Rooms, Flooring, Lighting, Power, Hospitals, NHS, Universities and Local Government/ Local Authorities

Area to be covered: National - ideally based North West

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + £10,000-£20,000 Commission

Benefits: Hybrid Company Car or £6,000 Car Allowance + Full BenefitsThe role of the Electrical Account Manager - M&E Services will involve:

  • Field sales role, selling mission critical M&E services including the design and build of data centres, UPS replacement, cooling for comms rooms, flooring, lighting, power (generators), switchgear, replacing plant rooms and other electrical services
  • Utilising a framework within all UK universities where our client is the number One provider of mission critical M&E services
  • Also targeting hospitals/ NHS and local government projects
  • Calling on IT Engineers up to C-Level decision makers including Data Center Managers and IT Infrastructure Managers
  • Initially new business focused but with retained account management this will be a 50/50 new business account management role over time
  • Once established in the role, you will be responsible for a £3m-£4m revenue target
  • Typically 4 days a week on the road covering a national remit, so overnight stays will be required
  • One day admin/ ideally working from our clients’ North West based offices
  • Ideally 10-12 meetings per week
  • Typical order values from £10,000-£250,000 but can be up to £800,000 (focus of this role will be on smaller works)
  • Plenty of warm introductions and an extensive database to target, hence penetrating wider and deeper into accounts will be key

The ideal applicant will be an Electrical Account Manager - M&E Services experience with:

  • Must have sold M&E services or if not a combination of M&E products and services together
  • Prior experience of having sold into Universities, hospitals/ NHS or local government/ local authorities would be advantageous
  • Data centre customer experience would be nice to have but is not essential
  • Approachable individual
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Willing to work away as required
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of customers
  • Stable career history
