The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical systems within building services projects. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure designs are efficient and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
A minimum of three years working as an Electrical Design Engineer in the UK is essential.
Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed electrical designs and calculations
- Produce technical drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Collaborate with staff members
- Attend design meetings and complete surveys
- Prepare tender documentation and provide technical support during the procurement process
- Liaise with contractors and attend site visits to oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
Electrical Design Engineer Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, or Dialux.
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards, including BS7671, CIBSE, and Building Regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
