Electrical Field Service Engineer (Switchgear/Transformer/HV)

Salary: £32,000 - £41,000 (DOE) + Company Vehicle

Shift: Monday to Friday Days

Location: Must be commutable to Manchester

Are you an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer with expertise in switchgear, transformers, and high-voltage (HV) systems? Join our leading engineering company and play a key role in providing expert service and support to our valued clients. As an Electrical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and HV equipment. Working on customer sites, you'll ensure the reliability and safety of critical power infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Conduct installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of switchgear, transformers, and HV equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, providing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and industry standards.
  • Complete detailed service reports and communicate effectively with clients.

Skills Required for the Field Service Engineer:

  • Experience: Proven experience in maintaining and servicing switchgear, transformers, and HV equipment.
  • Qualifications: Relevant electrical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of HV systems and electrical safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
