Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 per annum plus benefits
Hours: 42 hours per week. Shift pattern runs from Sunday to Saturday.
The working pattern is 5 on, 1 off, 5 on, 1 off, 5 on, 4 off
Location: Commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Wilmslow, Stretford and surrounding areas

A heavy plant manufacturing company who offers challenging and rewarding careers to Engineers, are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, electrically qualified, who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful inhouse team who keep the plant running and the equipment running smoothly.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery,ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a role where you will use your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day.You will play a key part in the efficiency and reliability of their production processes.
They also offer opportunities to take on further training and complete qualifications as you grow and progress in the role and company.
Responsibilities
The role is varied and dynamic, so youll get the chance to use a variety of electrical skills associated with being an electrician and service engineer
Install and maintaining all electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment or machinery
Operating a preventative electrical maintenance system
Faulting finding and repairs
Program Siemens & other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Use various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
Promote Lean thinking
Attend breakdowns
Contribute to safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
Adhere to the quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
Requirements
You will be an electrically biased engineer with experience of working in a manufacturing/factory environment, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
Safety is our biggest priority, so youll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice.
Youll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on. You will also be flexible in your approach, focusing on the changing day-to-day priorities, which will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.
As this role is sometimes physically demanding, youll be fit enough to perform the various duties
Experience and knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
Diagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
Desirable to have
Completed a hands-on apprentice training programme
17th / 18th edition qualified (although training could be provided)
HNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)
Experience in heavy industry manufacturing
