Are you the right person for the job?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Significant experience in SCADA systems, RTU/RTAC industrial communication protocols, BOP design in wind power, and ideally Irish and GB Grid Code compliance
  • Knowledge of substation and wind turbine generator systems, power plant control integration, and electrical simulation tools like DigSilent and PSSE
  • Experience in site commissioning, MV interface testing, utility automation, and relay protection
  • Must hold an EU Driving Licence
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the confidence to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive, business-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Physically fit, with the ability to pass a medical assessment to meet the physical demands of the role

What will your role look like?

  • Act as the “single point of contact” for all electrical issues on wind farm projects, coordinating with Project Management, Local Operations, Engineers, and Customers
  • Collaborate with specialists across regions to conduct and review Grid Code compliance studies and testing
  • Provide technical support to our Sales and Tendering teams
  • Define and oversee HV electrical equipment specifications, SCADA systems, and factory acceptance tests
  • Develop signal lists and control philosophies for SCADA, and approve detailed SCADA documentation such as network designs and performance specs
  • Manage HV contractor scope, and coordinate the energisation process, including the approval of switching procedures
  • Oversee all project-related signal testing, dispatch testing, and Grid Code compliance, with opportunities to lead compliance testing
