Can you lead major projects, or is something that you are keen to do? Interested in stepping up to Principal? Or are you already an established Principal? If any of the above is true, then this role should be under consideration as it offers the opportunity to work on grand projects, projects that are either in the public eye or those which cannot be spoken about at all. They are long term projects with long programmes and deliverables that arrive at early stages and are taken through to the detailed design phases. You don't need to be a work winner for this opportunity but you do need to be focussed on delivery and understanding the technical elements electrically of the job.

This Principal Electrical Engineer opportunity in Manchester offers true variety, and its Manchester based with a strong Hybrid working proposition that includes 1 or 2 days working in the office. You will work on major projects across the UK and abroad across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to; Infrastructure, Pharma, Defence, Nuclear, Transport and numerous other sectors including the opportunity to do some HV work too.

The electrical experts work with clients across exciting and niche sectors, delivering complex yet efficient and sustainable solutions, often to a demanding, highly regulated, and bespoke brief. They work seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary team, trusted by our clients to deliver inventive solutions to complex technical design challenges.

You will be experienced in all aspects of the project lifecycle from definition and feasibility to detailed design and site monitoring, investing time to understand the processes and equipment to deliver a client's strategy for growth.

You will also need the following as a Principal Electrical Engineer:

  • Significant experience in delivering on medium or large projects or managing packages on large projects.
  • Have experience in leading teams from graduate to senior-level engineers.
  • Have experience of Design Team Meetings and taking the lead for the electrical function.
  • Hold a relevant degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be Chartered with IET or CIBSE or working towards this.
  • Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications.
