Senior Electrical Engineer

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for Senior Electrical Engineers to join a Global Design Engineering Company on a contract basis. This role will be based in office near to your location, Inside of Scope of IR35, 6-12 months contract and at 40 hours a week.


As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will deliver a variety of Water sector projects as a part of multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

You will have strong water sector experience ideally with Consultant and Client side exposure.

The roles will involve delivery on technical design matters for a number of projects within a Water Utilities Capital Programme within the South East region.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Asset surveys and assessments
  • Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and ICA design work
  • Technical design risk assessments, P&IDs, cost and programme estimations.
  • Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle.  
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Trimble or Amtech for digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Qualifications:

    Degree-qualified with an Electrical or ICA bias. Chartered Engineer or outstanding role specific experience.
  • Chartered Electrical Engineer with a proven track record in delivering complex designs across various disciplines.
  • Knowledge of electrical design, including LV and HV systems, motor control centers/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments.
  • Familiarity with HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practices, production of SLD/BCDs, earthing and bonding, and current UK design standards and industry-specific practices.
