My client has experienced significant growth within the Transmission & Distribution sector over the past decade, securing numerous major projects across the UK. As the demand for exceptional engineering design continues to rise, an exciting opportunity has emerged for a Senior Substation Primary Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Discipline Lead - HV, you will ensure the quality and consistency of our team's output in producing and controlling drawings and technical documents. Your role includes managing project deliverables through a rigorous checking process, supporting CAD technicians in drawing development, and contributing to bid processes to secure future projects.

Requirements:

- Demonstrable design experience on transmission networks

- Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently

- Experience in HV Substation design

- Previous involvement with National Grid or Scottish & Southern Electricity projects

- Proficiency in Dynamic force calculations (rigid and flexible busbar calculations)

- Skilled in developing single line diagrams, plans, elevations, and equipment specifications for substations

- Familiarity with fulfilling CDM obligations (regulations, risk assessments, etc.)
