Electrical Technician - Permanent £30k - £45k plus benefits

Role:
- A member of a small multidisciplined proactive maintenance team, with the ability to work independently or within team to minimize down time, and execute repairs in a timely manner in a chemical manufacturing site.
- Participate actively in department/plant safety programs. Promote safety rules and regulations.
- Investigate and resolve equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure.
- Ability to interpret equipment drawings such as loop drawing and line diagrams and other technical information
- Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirement and/or system reliability/capacity.
- Complete the PM allocation of all electrical program's on site as per company standards, HSE standards, ATEX Standards, COMAH requirement and power& distribution systems
- Keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, equipment, instrumentation, controls, technology, etc., for application and use within the plant.
- Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.
- Maintain an error free execution. Pay very close attention to details and executes work to the highest possible standard. Apply a "Continuous Improvement" philosophy to daily work
- Able to organize and supervise various contractors as required at the site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum RQF level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline.
- Two (2) years minimum Electrical experience - preferred in ATEX Zone
- City and Guilds 2391 -52 will be added advantage.
- Recognized Electrical apprenticeship preferred.
- 18th edition electrical wiring regulations will be added advantage.
- Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification will be added advantage.
- SAP experience will be added advantage.
- Training in MEWP,mobile scaffold & lifting equipment will be added advantage.
