Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical industry and hold relevant certifications including NVQ Level 3 and AM2.
A full UK Driving Licence with at least 2 years of driving experience is also required, as the successful candidate will be driving a council vehicle.
The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Bury Council is seeking a Qualified Electrician for a temporary full-time position lasting 4 - 5 months. This role involves carrying out a variety of electrical works including repairs, installations, and electrical testing. The successful candidate will be driving the council vehicle, hence a full UK Driving Licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience is essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct electrical installations and repairs across various council properties.
Perform routine electrical testing to ensure safety and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Time-served Electrical Installation apprenticeship.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry.
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation certificate.
AM2 certification.
BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition certificate.
City & Guilds 2391 full Inspection & Testing certificate.
Full UK Driving Licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
Working Hours Monday to Friday 8.00am - 16.30pm
