The Client
Our client are a North West based CHAS Premium Plus Accredited Cable Jointing Specialist offering services from 11kV - 132kV. Specialising in HV/EHV their staff have developed a high skillset and experience of working for different DNO's and private networks. All their staff are directly employed and authorised by the DNO's whose systems they work on. As a company they pride themselves on always meeting their client's needs.
The Role of Cable Jointer
Due to the growth of the business our client are searching for an experienced Cable Jointer to join their team.
- Support with the installation of power cable joints and terminations on paper/lead or polymeric underground or substation cable systems, switchgear, transformers and associated equipment in substations operating at up to 33kV and ideally 66Kv & 132Kv.
- Support with the replacement of plant / equipment along with associated multicores and earthing cables to make a fully operational scheme
- Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.
- Keep safe and maintain all company property issued, ensure it is routinely PAT or calibration tested and bring to the company's attention any items that are not of a serviceable nature in a timely manner.
- Assist technical staff such as SAPs in undertaking cable identification, spiking, phasing and pressure testing of power cable systems up to 33kV.
The Person
- Northern Power Grid (NPG) Jointing Authorisation up to 33kV (ideally 66kV & 132kV Also)
- 3 Years Experience As A Jointer
- Live within 1 Hours Travel Distance Of Manchester - 80% of our work is within traveling distance of Manchester
- Happy to work away when required
What's on Offer
- £55-£60K a year starting salary
- 6-month review once onboard with an opportunity to be given a 10% Type B Shareholding in the business
- 12 - 18-month review with the potential offer to buy a Type A shareholding in the business
