Battery Assembly Operative

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Trafford Park

Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: 25,000-27,000 p.a. depending on experience + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

My client is a dynamic market leader within the motive power industry. They have a passion for service excellence which has contributed to their rapid growth within the last few years.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Battery Assembly Operative / Engineer to build new motive power batteries to ensure they are ready for dispatch. They supply batteries and chargers, as well as servicing of the equipment to their clients. As a growing company, my client offers an exciting and rewarding career path. Training will be provided however we are looking for candidates with some form of engineering experience/competence.


Example of Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning battery cells
  • Building batteries
  • Testing batteries
  • Topping up lead acid batteries
  • Adhering to health & safety policies at all times
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service
  • Representing company in a positive manner
  • Ensuring work area is kept clean at all times
  • Working in a team environment


Essential skills:
  • Engineering or assembly experience is essential.
  • Must be commutable distance to Trafford Park
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience in some form of engineering
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
