As an Instrument Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of control systems, contributing to equipment upgrades, capacity expansions, and process improvements. You’ll also play a key role in troubleshooting, system analysis, and implementing advanced controls to enhance efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate in safety programs, promoting adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of control system modifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to Operations and field technicians.
- Conduct system analysis, improvement studies, and front-end design work, collaborating with contractors and consultants.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise control system implementations, including operation and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor and identify underperforming instruments impacting control loop performance.
- Implement advanced control solutions to help optimise plant processes and meet production targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- Proven experience in the maintenance of control systems within a production environment.
- Familiarity with Siemens PCS7 DCS (highly preferred).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with a results-driven mindset.
