HGV Driver Class 1 C+E - Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Driver to join our team. Working for a family run business working in general haulage & specialised in mobile medical trailer movement and maintenance. The right candidate will be trained in the movement of specialised medical trailers and longer semi trailers (LSTs).The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations in a timely and safe manner. We transport both goods and medical trailers so you get the best of both worlds with our company. If you are a skilled driver with a C+E licence and are seeking a different approach to driving being able to learn new skills and learning how to set up medical equipped trailers this is the role for you.

HGV Driver Class 1 C+E / Engineer - Duties:
  • Safely operate a Box and curtain sided trailers equipped with tail lifts in the transport of palletised & freestanding goods and demonstrate the securing of goods per DVSA Guidelines.
  • Load and unload product using appropriate equipment & following health and safety at all times
  • Perform truck and trailer inspections before and after each trip
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries ensuring PODS are adequately signed
  • Be able to work night outs as and when required
  • Must have a professional and flexible approach when representing the company having a can do attitude
  • Must have ability to be able to carry out engineering work on equipment (in house training provided)
HGV Driver Class 1 C+E / Engineer - Requirements:
  • Hold a valid commercial vehicle driving licence (Category C + E) old class 1
  • Hold a valid and up to date CPC card
  • Proven driving experience for two years minimum
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances and stay away overnight
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong work ethics
  • Good presentation dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness of truck allocated to you
