X-Ray Screener

We are currently looking for a reliable and attentive X-Ray Screener to join our team in Wythenshawe, Manchester. As an important part of our security operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that parcels are thoroughly screened and meet safety and compliance standards before export.

Pay: Dependant on experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Screen parcels for export using X-Ray to ensure they comply with all safety and security regulations.
• Conduct security checks for prohibited items in cargo that will be transported by air, in accordance with CAA regulations.
• Accurately record and report any concerns or issues found during screening.
• Perform pallet screening when necessary.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail in a busy and fast-paced environment.
• Tolerate moderate to loud noise levels commonly found in a warehouse setting.
• Apply knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, and common cargo abbreviations.
• Follow clear instructions from supervisors or lead screeners, ensuring safety standards are maintained.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
• Ability to stay focused and alert, even in high-pressure situations.
• A good understanding of safety and security procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to tolerate a busy work environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
