Cyber Security Specialist - Manchester
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Cyber Security Specialist from an AWS background to join our global client's new UK cybersecurity team. This role is predominantly end-client facing, advising on security best practices, vulnerability management and security standard compliance (e.g. NIST, ISO, PCI etc), and assisting with audits and examinations. You will be reporting to the UK Head of Security, and consulting global clients across the American and EMEA regions.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience working in Cyber Security within an AWS environment
- Any experience with CrowdStrike would be a bonus
- Vulnerability management
- Strong Security standard knowledge and experience consulting on a range of security policies and standards such as GDPR, ISO, PCI, NIST
- Experience advising on security best practices and maintaining SOC playbooks
- Networking and infrastructure experience, both on- and off-prem
- Confidence when speaking with stakeholders and clients, as well as the ability to provide training and mentoring around cyber security
- Ideally some relevant cyber security certifications
This role is full-time onsite in their Central Manchester office - you must be willing and able to attend the office 4 / 5 days a week in their brand-new UK headquarters. You will be working in a vibrant office with some of most forward thinking technical people
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing and developing security requirements, as well as carrying out vulnerability management
- Ensure consistency across IT Security risk management activities.
- Advise Engineers on information related to new vulnerabilities and threats and their remediation, to improve vulnerability management.
- Providing ongoing security training and support both in-house and externally, advising customers on security requirements and best practices
